Thanks to CTA for hosting Web 2.0 in NIFFR New Bussa

We are indeed very grateful to CTA for organizing Web 2.0 for researchers and also hosting the training in NIFFR New Bussa, Niger State. This is a welcomed development as this will not only help researchers to improve their works but will also encourage remote collaboration and promote research findings. The facilitator, Mr Johnson Opigo is been great in subject delivery. Kudos to him and CTA.

Indole is generated by reductive deamination from tryptophan via the intermediate molecule indolepyruvic acid. Tryptophanase catalyzes the deamination reaction, during which the amine (-NH2) group of the tryptophan molecule is removed. Final products of the reaction are indole, pyruvic acid, ammonium (NH4) and energy. Pyridoxal phosphate is required as a coenzyme.
